Women's Swimming & Diving Falls to Eastern Connecticut, 152-127

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – The Bridgewater State University women's swimming and diving team dropped a 152-127 decision to visiting Eastern Connecticut State University on Saturday afternoon at the Dr. Mary Jo Moriary Pool in Bridgewater.

Eastern remains unbeaten in dual meet competition as the Warriors improve to 3-0, while the host Bears slip to 3-4.

Eastern won each of the first seven races and posted the top finisher in 13 of the 16 events.

Freshman diver Tiffany Easter (Easton, Mass.) paced  Bridgewater State with a pair of individual wins on the one-meter board (166.15 points) and the three-meter plank (154.30 points).  Sophomore Kristen Carey (East Taunton, Mass.) added a victory in the 100 freestyle as she posted a time of 59.52 seconds.

Both teams are off until after the New Year.  Bridgewater hosts Elms College on January 9th at 4:00 PM, while Eastern entertains Keene State College on January 12th at 1:00 PM.
