BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – The Bridgewater State University women's swimming and diving team was honored by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as a Scholar All-America Team for the spring 2012 semester.

130 Division III women’s swimming and diving programs across the country achieved this honor by excelling in both the classroom and the swimming lanes. The Bears recorded an overall team GPA of 3.06 for the spring semester to earn Scholar All-America Team status.

The Team Scholar All-America award is presented to college swimming and diving teams who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented to teams achieving this standard in the fall semester and in the semester of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships (Winter/Spring).

The College Swimming Coaches Association of America is the oldest coach's organization in America. In addition to Scholar All-American Awards, the CSCAA recognizes All-American swimmers and divers at the national championships every year.
