BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the third time this season, Bridgewater State University junior goalkeeper Logan Levesque has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Levesque went 1-0-1 between the pipes for the Bears last week with a pair of shutouts, 12 saves, a perfect 1.000 save percentage and a perfect 0.00 goal against average. The Bristol, Rhode Island native made nine saves in a scoreless tie with UMass Boston, and turned aside three shots in a 8-0 MASCAC win over MCLA.
In 15 games this season, Levesque is 8-4-3 with five shutouts and a 1.43 goals against average in just under 1,320 (1319:53) minutes of work. She has turned aside 91 shots and currently sports a .812 save percentage.
Levesque is presently tied for the MASCAC lead in wins and is tied for second in shutouts. She also ranks third among the conference goaltending leaders in both save percentage and goals against average, fourth in minutes played and seventh in saves.
In 47 games (all starts) over her first three seasons with the Bears, Levesque is 28-14-5 with 18 career shutouts (17 solo), 258 saves and an .814 save percentage. She has also posted a 1.28 goals against average to date in 4,153-plus (4153:40) minutes of action.
Levesque is presently third among the Bears' all-time goaltending leaders in both shutouts and wins as well as fourth in goals against average, She also ranks sixth in minutes played and games played (tied), and seventh in saves.
The MASCAC weekly honor marks the fifth of Levesque's career. She also earned the honor twice during the 2023 campaign.
The BSU women's soccer team wrapped up the regular season with an overall record of 10-4-3 including a 6-0-1 MASCAC mark. The Bears are the top seed in this week's MASCAC Tournament and will host a semifinal round game on Friday night at seven o'clock.
