2013 ECAC Division III New England Softball All-Star Team (PDF)

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – For the third straight season, Bridgewater State University senior third baseman Jennifer Shaw has been selected to the 2013 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Softball All-Star Team.

Shaw, a second team selection, batted .361 (44-122) this past season with two home runs, 12 doubles, 27 runs scored and 19 runs batted in. She also posted a .508 slugging percentage and a .423 on base percentage.

A native of Brockton, Massachusetts, Shaw led the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) in doubles, ranked second in hits and on base percentage and finished third in the circuit in batting average, runs and slugging percentage.

A three-time All-MASCAC First Team selection and the 2012 MASCAC Player of the Year, Shaw helped the BSU softball team capture both the MASCAC regular season and tournament titles in 2013 and advance to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time since 2009 and 21st time overall.

In 143 career games with the Bears, Shaw produced a .372 batting average (146-392) with 19 home runs, 34 doubles, 93 runs scored and 98 RBI.  She also finished with 16 career stolen bases as well as a .615 slugging percentage and a .438 on base percentage.  Shaw ranks seventh in program history with her .372 batting average.
