2013 All-Little East Conference Men's Tennis Team (PDF)
BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Bridgewater State University junior Eric Johnson has been named to the 2013 All-Little East Conference Men's Tennis Team by the league's coaches. Johnson is a second team selection at sixth flight singles.
A native of Kingston, Massachusetts, Johnson posted an overall singles record of 13-1 in his first season with the Bears including an 8-1 mark at the sixth flight. He also went 5-1 versus Little East opponents.
In double play, Johnson teamed with freshman Hung Huynh (Worcester, Mass.) to record an 8-7 record competing mostly at the second flight. The duo posted a 7-6 record at second doubles and 1-1 mark at the top spot.
The BSU men's tennis team finished the 2013 campaign with a record of 10-6 and finished fourth in the Little East standings with a 3-3 conference mark. Seeded fourth at the Little East Tournament, the Bears recorded a 5-1 opening round victory over number five Salem State University to advance to the tournament semifinals. Bridgewater’s season, however, would come to an end with a 5-1 setback to top-seed and eventual conference champion UMass Boston.
