Desmond Ng Named Little East Men's Rookie Swimmer of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University junior Desmond Ng has been selected as the Little East Conference (LEC) Men's Rookie Swimmer of the Week.

Ng placed second in the 100 individual medley with a time of 55.63 seconds, and finished fourth in the 1,000-freestyle with a time of 11:42.12, this past weekend in the Bears' season-opening meet against Division II Saint Michael's College. The Petaling Jaya, Malaysia native also helped the Bears capture top honors in the 200 medley relay (1:39.00) with a breaststroke split time of 27.19 seconds in the setback to the Purple Knights.

The BSU swimming and diving teams are off until Saturday, October 26th when the Bears compete at the Roger Williams Invitational.
