Bears Capture NECHA American Division Title

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – The Bridgewater State University club ice hockey team has captured the Northeast Collegiate Hockey Association (NECHA) American Division title and earned the top seed for the NECHA Tournament.

The tournament, which is a four-team, single-elimination format, will be held at the Conway Arena in Nashua, New Hampshire from February 18-20.  Bridgewater State’s semifinal match will be on Friday the 18th with their opponent still to be determined.  If the Bears win their semifinal game, they will play for the league championship on Sunday the 20th.

The Bears wrap up the regular season with a pair of non-league games this upcoming weekend against ACHA number four-ranked Bryant University on Saturday night in Smithfield Rhode Island, and on Sunday afternoon at home against Roger Williams University (Senior Day).
