A Tribute To The Victims Of
Sandy Hook Elementary School
Newtown, Connecticut
For the upcoming swimming & diving meet between Bridgewater State University and Elms College hosted by Bridgewater State on January 9, 2013 at 4:00pm Bridgewater State Head coach Michael Caruso and Beth Yohai (K & B Sports) have designed a swimming cap (see below) for both teams to wear as a tribute to everyone that was affected by the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut on December 14, 2012.
Bridgewater State University
has been known as an institution that has put forth many
teachers throughout the United States and across the
world. We feel it is important to honor and support all the
teachers, staff, students, and families of Sandy Hook
Elementary School and the residents of Newtown,
Connecticut.
In this time of need it is important that we as an institution and
community do what we can to help support and bring positivity to a
community that is coping and rebuilding for the future.
We will be asking for donations at the meet on January 9, 2013 to
help us cover the cost of the swimming caps for both
teams. Any donations that we receive over and above
the cost of the swimming caps will go directly to the United
Way of Western Connecticut and the Sandy Hook School Support
Fund.
