NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Bridgewater State University graduate student Alison McDonough (Halifax, Mass.) set the school record in the 100-meter dash on Friday afternoon at the 2025 Division III New England Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
McDonough finished fourth in the preliminaries of the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.99 seconds as she eclipsed teammate Jailene Escalera's (Rockland, Mass.) previous program mark of 12.18 seconds set last year.
McDonough also finished second in the preliminaries of the 100-meter hurdles with a season-best time of 14.26 seconds.
McDonough, who currently ranks 17th in all of Division III in the 100 hurdles, qualified for the finals in both events.
The two-day Division III New England Championships will conclude on Saturday with events getting underway at 11:00 AM.
