Alison Vautrin Named Little East Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Bridgewater State University freshman Alison Vautrin has been selected as the Little East Conference Women’s Tennis Rookie of the Week.

Vautrin began her collegiate career in fine fashion last week as she helped lead the Bears to wins over Gordon College and Little East rivals Plymouth State University and Worcester State University.

The Somerset, Massachusetts native posted a 3-0 mark competing at fourth singles as she won each of her matches in straight sets.  Vautrin also teamed with sophomore Rachael Eramo (Dartmouth, Mass.) to go 3-0 at third flight doubles.

Vautrin and her teammates return to the court on Tuesday afternoon when they host Suffolk University in a non-conference match at 3:30.
