Bouchard Places 22nd in 5,000-Meter Run at NEICAAA Championships

BOSTON, Mass. -- Bridgewater State College senior Avery Bouchard posted a 22nd place finish at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Indoor Track & Field Championships held at Boston University over the weekend.

Bouchard, who was the only BSC competitor at the meet, recorded a time of 15:29.54 as he was the tenth Division III runner to cross the line.

A native of Fall River, Massachusetts, Bouchard set the BSC indoor mark in the 5,000-meter run earlier this season at the Harvard.  He bettered Brendan Lynch's previous standard of 15:34.00 by nearly 28 seconds with a time of 15:06.68 back on December 13.  

Bouchard will compete at the ECAC Division III Championships which will take place at Tufts University on March 5-6.
