Bio
Dave Pereira enters his role as an Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at Bridgewater State University with a deep history in the program and New England soccer. He previously coached at both Bridgewater State and Dean College, bringing years of experience in player development and team leadership.
A 1993 graduate of North Adams State College (now Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts), Pereira earned his degree in English/Communications while excelling as a standout goalkeeper for the Trailblazers under legendary coach Ron Shewcraft. During his collegiate career from 1989–1993, he was a three-year starter, team captain, and earned numerous accolades, including:
- 1993 Second Team All-American
- 1993 All-New England
- 1993 MASCAC Most Valuable Player
- 1992 All-New England
- 2005 Inductee into the MCLA Athletics Hall of Fame
Pereira’s coaching and playing experiences reflect his passion for the game and his commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes.
A native of Franklin, Massachusetts, he now resides in Easton with his wife and three children.
