Charlotte Sullivan Named MASCAC Volleyball Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second time this season, Bridgewater State University freshman middle hitter Charlotte Sullivan has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Volleyball Rookie of the Week.

Sullivan notched 11 kills and posted a .476 hitting percentage to go along with four assisted blocks and three digs in the Bears’ key 3-2 MASCAC win on the road over Worcester State University last week.

Through 14 matches this season, Sullivan has produced 75 kills and checks in with a .286 hitting percentage to go along with 37 digs and 32 blocks (six solo). She presently ranks second among the MASCAC leaders in hitting percentage and sixth in blocks.

Sullivan also earned MASCAC Rookie of the Week honors back on September 30th.

Winners of seven straight matches, the BSU volleyball team is currently 8-6 on the season and a perfect 3-0 in the MASCAC standings. The Bears entertain conference foe Fitchburg State University on Tuesday evening at six o'clock.
