BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second time this season, Bridgewater State University sophomore libero Lilly Misay has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.
Misay notched 22 digs, 21 receptions, one ace and six assists in a 3-0 MASCAC win over Framingham State University. It marked the Bears first win over the Rams since 2010 and first at Framingham since 2008.
Through 11 matches this season, Misay checks in with 136 digs, 21 aces, 45 assists and 239 receptions. She currently ranks ninth among the MASCAC leaders in digs and receptions.
In 28 matches over her first two seasons with the Bears, Misay has produced 333 digs, 66 aces and 64 assists to go along with 551 receptions.
Misay also earned the MASCAC weekly honor back on September 9th.
The BSU volleyball team is currently 5-6 on the season and 1-0 in the MASCAC. The Bears host Lesley University on Wednesday evening at six o'clock.
