BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the third time this season, Bridgewater State University sophomore outside hitter Ava Crane has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Volleyball Rookie of the Week.

Crane notched 18 digs, five kills, nine aces and 28 receptions in the Bears' 3-0 MASCAC win on the road over Massachusetts Maritime Academy.

Through 20 matches this season, Crane has produced 118 kills, 19 assists, 51 aces, 439 receptions, 266 digs and 12 blocks (four solo). She presently leads the MASCAC in aces per set (0.72) and and ranks fourth total aces.

Crane also earned MASCAC Rookie of the Week honors back on September 9th and again on September 23rd.

The BSU volleyball team is currently 11-9 on the season and 6-1 in the MASCAC standings. The Bears are seeded second in this week's MASCAC Tournament and will host a semifinal round match on Thursday night at six o'clock.
