CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Three members of the Bridgewater State University men's outdoor track & field team competed on Thursday at the MIT Final Qualifier.

Junior Thomas Barinelli (Tewksbury, Mass.) placed second in the long jump with a leap of 22 feet, eight inches (6.91m), while senior Corey Stalters (Norton, Mass.) placed third in the javelin with a toss of 195 feet (59.53m).

Sophomore Chigozie Adigwe (Lowell, Mass.) finished ninth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 20.90 seconds.

Stalters is currently 13th in all of Division III in the javelin, while Adigwe is 30th in the hurdles.

The field for the 2023 NCAA Division III Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championships is expected to be announced Friday evening by 8:00 PM. The top 22 declared student-athletes for each individual event will qualify for the national championship meet.
