LEWISTON, Maine -- The Bridgewater State College men's track and field team competed at the New England Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday afternoon at Bates College.
Sophomore Bill Taft (Hanson, MA) was the top placewinner for the Bears as he finished 11th in the 1,000-meter run with a time of 2:35.85. Taft also qualified for the ECAC Division III Championships with his time in the 1,000.
Senior Kevin White (Swansea, MA) placed 13th in the 55-meter hurdles (8.08), while sophomore Mike Sukeforth (Middleboro, MA) was 14th in the 800-meter run (2:01.53) and freshman Stephen Wahome (Lowell, MA) grabbed 15th place in the 3,000 (8:54.63).
Taft, Sukeforth, Wahome and junior Ryan D'Arcangelo (Norfolk, MA) posted a 16th place showing in the 4 x 800-meter relay (8:20.72).
