BRIDGEWATER, MASS. -- The Bridgewater State College men's tennis team breezed to a 9-0 win over Wheelock College this afternoon at the Winsor School in Boston.
The Bears (4-4) won all four singles matches that took place and both doubles. BSC also picked up two singles flight wins by default as well as one doubles flight.
Senior Matt Charest (Somerset, MA), freshman Duncan Yarworth (Wrentham, MA), sophomore Justin Lipomi (Lowell, MA) and freshman Mike Zagame (Uxbridge, MA) all captured straight set victories in singles play.
Sophomores Nick Amrose (Arlington, MA) and David Campbell (Vineyard Haven, MA) teamed up for an 8-0 win at first doubles, while senior Brendon Barbo (Yarmouthport, MA) and sophomore David Li (Taunton, MA) won the second doubles flight by a score of 8-3.
The Bears are now off until Tuesday April 7th when they open up Little East Conference play on the road against Western Connecticut State University.
