BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Four members of the Bridgewater State University men's swimming & diving program have been selected to the 2025-2026 Academic All-District® One Division III Men's Swimming & Diving Team by the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
Earning the honor from Bridgewater State are seniors Brendan Goff, Jacob Jope and Ryan McKenzie as well as junior Aaron Fowler. Goff and McKenzie are making their second appearance on the Academic All-District® One Team while Jope and Fowler are first time honorees.
The Bears accounted for four of the ten student-athletes from the Little East Conference (LEC) named to the Academic All-District® One Division III Men's Swimming & Diving Team.
The 2025-2026 Academic All-District® Men’s Swimming & Diving Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes swimming & diving honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be eligible for all-academic honors, a student-athlete must be a significant contributor, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his current institution and be nominated by his sports information director. A student-athlete must have also competed in at least five competitions or finish top-eight at a conference championships meet.
A native of Plainville, Massachusetts, Goff is majoring in history and secondary education and checks in with a 3.64 grade point average. Jope, who hails from East Freetown, Massachusetts, currently sports a 3.55 GPA while majoring in criminal justice. A Charlton, Massachusetts product, McKenzie is majoring in computer science while maintaining a 3.54 GPA. Fowler, who calls Brookline, Massachusetts home, is a computer science major with a 3.74 GPA.
Goff, Jope, McKenzie and Fowler helped the BSU men's swimming & diving team capture the Little East title back in February for the fourth time in the last five years.
Goff finished seventh in the 200 backstroke, eighth in the 50 backstroke and tenth in the 100 backstroke at the Little East Championships.
Jope earned All-Little East Second Team honors in the 200 freestyle relay. He was also sixth in both the 50 freestyle and 400 individual medley at the championship meet, as well tenth in the 100 freestyle.
McKenzie garnered All-Little East First Team status in the 200 medley relay, second team accolades in the 100 breaststroke and third team honors in the 100 individual medley. He also finished fourth in the 50 breaststroke at the championship meet.
Fowler won Little East crowns in the 50 butterfly, 100 butterfly and the 200 butterfly as well as the 400 medley relay. He also was a All-Little East Second Team recipient in both the 200 freestyle relay and the 400 freestyle relay.
