NORTON, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University men's swimming & diving team fell to 0-2 with a 131-90 loss to Wheaton College Friday night.
Sophomore Aaron Fowler (Brookline, Mass.) won a pair of events and was part of a winning relay team for the Bears.
Fowler was first in the 50 freestyle in 21.97 seconds and the 100 breaststroke in 1:03.42.
Fowler joined senior Thomas Roch (Chelmsford, Mass.), junior Cooper Sever (Edgewater, Md.) and sophomore Jirat Saengthong (Watertown, Mass.) to win the 200 freestyle relay race in 1:30.93.
Fowler has already been the Little East swimmer of the week twice this season after winning the honor six times as a freshman.
The Bears received points in the 1000 freestyle from senior Mike Losardo (Pittsfield, Mass.), who was second in 11:56.90, senior Owen Lasbury-Casey (Mansfield, Mass.), who was third in 12:18.85, and sophomore Sean Taylor (Dennis, Mass.), who was fourth in 12:23.73.
In the 200 freestyle, junior Desmond Ng (Petaling Jaya, Malaysia) was third in 1:50.76 followed by Sever, who was fourth in 1:52.05.
Ng was also third in the 100 backstroke in 56.72 while Sever placed fourth in the 100 breaststroke in 1:05.34.
Saengthong was third in the 100 butterfly in 55.08.
In 1-meter diving, freshman Theo Roan (Peabody, Mass.) led the way with 183.65 points followed by senior Robbie Soucy (Frye Island, Maine) with 121.60.
Roch was third in the 100 freestyle in 51.52 and fourth in the 50 freestyle in 23.16.
Sophomore Drew Lawrence (Winchendon, Mass.) took fouroth in the 200 individual medley in 2:10.48 and fourth in the 100 backstroke in 59.24.
The Bears will be at Clark University on Nov. 23 for a 1 p.m. meet.
