BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second straight week and fourth time this season, Bridgewater State University freshman forward Cameron Walty has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week.

Walty potted a pair of goals in BSU’s 5-0 MASCAC win over Framingham State this past weekend as the Bears clinched the conference regular season title.

In 14 games this season, including seven starts, Walty has five goals (one game-winner) and an assist for 11 points. He is tied for the team lead in goals and tied for third in scoring.

Walty also garnered MASCAC Rookie of the Week honors on September 22nd, September 29th and October 27th.

The BSU men's soccer team is currently 10-5-1 on the season and 5-1-1 in the MASCAC standings. The Bears wrap up regular season play on Saturday at home against conference rival Framingham State University. The game is slated to get underway at noon.
