Field Hockey

Katie Vamosi joined the Bridgewater State field hockey coaching staff in the summer of 2021. Katie is a 2021 graduate of Westfield State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training. While at Westfield, she competed on the field hockey team and appeared in 36 games (23 starts) as a three-year goalkeeper mfor the Owls. Vamosi won seven games, including a pair of shutouts, recorded 178 saves and posted a career 2.85 goals against average as well as a .704 save percentage.

Katie was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Squad on three separate occasions (2017, 2018, 2020) and was also a three-time Little East Conference Fall All-Academic Team selection (2017, 2018, 2019).

Prior to joining the Bears' field hockey staff, Katie spent time coaching for Easton Youth Field Hockey (2015-2017) as well as the New England Strikers Field Hockey (2015-2017), the Baystate Summer Games (2017-2018). She also volunteered her time at number of clinics as a student-athlete with her former team at Westfield State.
