BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University junior defensive end Jorge Aquino has been selected to the 2025 D3football.com All-America Team.
Aquino, a fourth team selection, is just the second player in program history to garner D3football.com All-America honors and first in 22 years (Jonathan Sullivan, 2003). He is also the only student-athlete from the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) to earn the accolade in 2025.
This year marks the 27th season that D3football.com has named an All-America team.
In ten games this season, Aquino notched 53 tackles (32 solo) with nine sacks, 15 tackles for loss, six pass breakups and five quarterback hurries. The Bergenfield, New Jersey native led the MASCAC in both sacks and tackles for loss.
On a national level, Aquino tied for 21st in all of Division III in sacks per game (0.9) and tied for 30th in tackles for loss per game (1.5).
In 30 games over his first three seasons with the Bears, Aquino has amassed 118 tackles (59 solo), 14 sacks, 23 tackles for loss, ten pass breakups and 21 quarterback hurries.
Earlier this month, Aquino was named to the D3football.com All-Region One First Team. He was also chosen to the All-MASCAC First Team back in November.
The BSU football team posted a 5-5 record in 2025 including 5-4 MASCAC mark as the Bears tied for fifth in the conference standings.
