The MASCAC Athlete of the Week honor marks the 33rd of Andrews' career including 14 outdoor distinctions.
Andrews broke her won school record and garnered All-NEICAAA honors in the 100-meter hurdles this past weekend at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Southern Connecticut State University. The Plymouth, Massachusetts product posted a finals and DIII-leading time of 13.86 seconds to place fourth in the event (first among DIII student-athletes). Andrews, who also ran a leg on the Bears’ 4x100-meter relay (49.69, 14th) at the NEICAAA Championships, currently ranks first in all of Division III in the 100 hurdles and seventh in the 400-meter hurdles.
This past March, Andrews became the second NCAA national champion in Bridgewater State history as she captured the national title in the 60-meter hurdles at the 2019 Division III Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships held at the Reggie Lewis Center. Andrews also garnered All-American accolades last spring with a second place finish in the 100-meter hurdles at the 2018 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Andrews presently holds nine individual school records at Bridgewater State (along with three relay marks). She is the Bears indoor record holder in the 55-meter hurdles (8.50), 60-meter hurdles (8.68), long jump (17'6.75"), 200-meter dash (26.37) and 400-meter dash (57.14), as well as the outdoor record holder in the 100-meter hurdles (13.86), 400-meter hurdles (1:01.37), 400-meter dash (55.76) and long jump (17'8.75").
