BRIDGEWATER, Mass. –Bridgewater State University senior Molly Rouillard (Dartmouth, Mass.) has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Rouillard captured the individual title in the 10,000-meter run to lead the BSU women's outdoor track and field team at the season-opening BSU Bears Invitational held on Saturday at cold and windy Swenson Field. The Dartmouth, Massachusetts native posted a winning time of 37:06.13 as she qualified for three postseason championship meets, (ECAC, DIII New England, NEICAAA).
Rouillard is coming off an outstanding indoor season as she earned All-American honors in the one-mile run at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships held at North Central College. She also placed 50th out of 277 runners at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships this past fall.
The outdoor season continues for Rouillard and the BSU women’s track and field team as the Bears travel to Tufts University on Saturday for the Snowflake Classic.
