Women's Swimming & Diving Posts 125-95 Win over Regis

WESTON, Mass. – Led by a pair of individual victories by junior Chelsea Nolan (Lowell, Mass.), the Bridgewater State University women's swimming and diving team posted a 125-95 win over host Regis College on Saturday afternoon.

The visiting Bears improve to 1-1 in dual meet competition on the young season while the Pride fall to 0-2.

Nolan captured the 1,000 freestyle event with a time of 11:45.47.  She was also the first touch the wall in the 500 freestyle as she posted a time of 5:43.25.

Senior Rhiannon White (Falmouth, Mass.) was the top placewinner in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:07.59, while freshman diver Tiffany Easter (Easton, Mass.) placed first on the one-meter board with a score of 150.40 points.

The Bears 400 relay team of junior Nelia Borden (Westport, Mass.) and sophomores Kristen Carey (East Taunton, Mass.), Kendra Perry (Middleboro, Mass.) and Taylor Brochu (Cotuit, Mass.) recorded a winning time of 4:01.19.

On Tuesday night, the Bears travel to UMass Dartmouth for a six o'clock meet with the Corsairs.
