NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Bridgewater State University senior Joseph Keough (Walpole, Mass.), juniors Joshua Higgins (Fitchburg, Mass.) and Trevor Wysong (Taunton, Mass.), and sophomore Nikolas Beshere (Winthrop, Mass.) all competed on Friday evening at the Silfen Invitational hosted by Connecticut College.
Wysong captured top honors in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 32:23.40 as he was competing in the event for the first time this season.
Higgins placed ninth in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:54.53, while Keough completed the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 9:57.20 to finish 11th overall.
Beshere was the 11th harrier to cross the finish line in the 10,000 as he checked in at 33:33.74.
Wysong, Higgins and Keough qualified for the Division III New England Championships in their respective events, while Wysong also qualified for the NEICAAA Championships.
The BSU men's track & field team will compete on Saturday at the Jerry Gravel Classic hosted by Westfield State University.
