2012 All-Little East Conference Men's Tennis Team (PDF)

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Bridgewater State University junior Nicholas Desisto has been named to the 2012 All-Little East Conference Men's Tennis Team by the league's coaches.  Desisto is a second team selection at the sixth singles flight.

A native of Uxbridge, Massachusetts, Desisto posted an overall singles record of 6-3 on the season including a 6-2 mark at the sixth flight.  He also went 3-2 versus Little East opponents.

In double play, Desisto went 7-5 competing mostly at the third flight.  He teamed with sophomore Cody Farrell (Scituate, Mass.) at number three as the duo went 5-4 in nine matches.

The BSU men's tennis team posted a record of 9-6 in 2012 and finished second in the Little East standings with a 4-2 conference mark.  Seeded second at the Little East Tournament, BSU recorded a 5-4 semifinal victory over number three Western Connecticut State University to advance to the tournament title match against top-seeded UMass Dartmouth.  The Bears' season, however, would come to an end with a 5-0 setback to the Corsairs.
