BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University senior midfielder Donald Flores has been named to the 2011 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) NCAA Division III All-New England South Region Second Team.
A native of Cranston, Rhode Island, Flores wrapped up a solid four-year career by tallying two goals and seven assists for 11 points in 2011. He ranked second in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) with his seven helpers.
Flores notched seven goals and 24 assists for 38 points in 71 career games. He is second all-time at BSU in assists and eighth in games played.
Flores made his fourth appearance on the All-MASCAC Team in 2011, garnering first team honors for the third time in his career. He was also selected to compete in the New England Intercollegiate Soccer League (NEISL) Division III Senior All-Star Game along with teammate Dan Roberts (Braintree, Mass.) on November 27th at Harvard Stadium.
The Bridgewater State men's soccer team posted a record of 6-7-3 on the season and finished in a three-way tie for third place in the league standings with a 3-1-3 mark in MASCAC play. Despite losing just one game in the conference, the Bears did not earn a spot in the four-team MASCAC Tournament due to the tie-breaker policy.
