Bryan Rubenskas joined the Bridgeeater State men's basketball coaching staff in 2001. Before joining the Bears, he was an assistant varsity coach at Matignon High School in Cambridge, Ma., under Joel Burke.
Coach "Rubes" role has been to be a mentor to the student athletes, act as a liaison with youth basketball in the community and he is also involved in recruiting and scouting for the Bears.
Bryan earned his Bachelors Degree and played his college ball at St. Joseph's College in N. Windham, Me. During his playing days as a "Monk" he scored over 1000 pts and is second all time in rebounds and blocked shots. He helped guide "St. Joes" to winning close to 100 games in his career.
Bryan is a Pharmaceutical sales consultant and resides in Bridgewater with his wife, Kelly and their three sons; Andrew, Conor and Ryan.
