Heidi Halsted joined the BSU field hockey staff in the summer of 2016 season. Coach Halsted is a 2015 graduate of Connecticut College where she majored in psychology with a minor in human development and a certificate in elementary education certificate.
A native of Mill Valley, California, Heidi played center midfield on the Conn. College field hockey team and captained the squad as a senior in 2015. She earned back-to-back National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-West Region Second Team honors in 2014 and 2015 and was selected to play in the NFHCA Division III Senior All-Star Game. Heidi was also named to both the NFHCA and New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Academic Team each year.
In 53 games over four season with the Camels, Heidi notched nine goals and eight assists for 26 points. She also recorded four defensive saves.
Heidi also played four seasons on the Conn. College women's lacrosse team as she tallied 20 goals and nine assists to go along with 40 ground balls, 37 draw controls and 11 caused turnovers in 48 career games.
Prior to coming to Bridgewater State, Heidi previously coached for the HTC (Hear The Cheers) Field Hockey Club. She currently lives in Boston and works as the Assistant Manager of Goldfish Swim School in Braintree.
