BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Fifteen Bridgewater State University student-athletes have been named to the Fall 2018 Little East Conference (LEC) All-Academic Team which was announced today.

The 15 BSU student-athletes include eight field hockey players and seven representatives from the women's tennis team.

Receiving the honor as members of the field hockey team are seniors Allison Chappell (Raynham, Mass.), Samantha Hayes (Norwood, Mass.), Julianne Kilduff (Bellingham, Mass.) and Alexandra Zoebisch (Plymouth, Mass.); juniors Megan Bell (Littleton, Mass.) and Jacquelyn Legendre (Westport, Mass.); and sophomores Kim Kowalick (Groveland, Mass.) and Meghan Welch (Hubbardston, Mass.). The Little East Conference began honoring an all-academic team during the 2007-08 academic year. While the majority of Bridgewater State varsity squads are members of the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC), three BSU teams call the Little East home. Field hockey and women’s tennis compete in the Little East in the fall, and men’s tennis in the spring.
