Bears Capture NECHA American Division TitleFebruary 7, 2011BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – The Bridgewater State University club ice hockey team has captured the Northeast Collegiate Hockey Association (NECHA) American Division title and earned the top seed for the NECHA Tournament.
BSC Sweeps Weekend Matchup with EndicottNovember 19, 20091st Game- In the third the Bears pulled away with two goals from Derek Fortuna and one from Corey Maguire. In the end BSC was able to win the game by a final score of 5-3.
2nd Game- Corey Maguire was able to break up a play in Endicotts zone and just barely get the puck past the goal line for a 3-2 lead.
BSC came out of the weekend with 4 very important conference points.
BSC vs M.I.T. Recap Nov. 11thNovember 12, 2009In the first period MIT jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a shot from the point that was deflected past goalie Zack Dupere.
Before the end of the second Derek Fortuna added in a goal to increase the Bears lead to 3-1.
In the third period BSC came out firing and were able to extend their lead to 5-1 with goals from Ryan Hebert, John Cole and Mike Wilson.
With the win the Bears come away with 2 points towards their place in the conference standings.
